UTOWN@UBC Community Grants Expanded

Community Grants fund community-led projects focused on strengthening connectedness on campus.

This year, a new partnership with the Vancouver Foundation Neighbourhood Small Grant program was launched that allowed UBC to grow eligibility to include more staff, faculty, students and Musqueam community members.

This partnership also enabled UBC to join a regional network of community organizations committed to empowering grassroots grant-making.

A continued partnership with UBC Wellbeing also awarded small grants to students interested in promoting wellbeing on campus. Projects included a weekly intergenerational sing-a-long, a student-driven sustainable lunch program to help raise funds for food recovery, a Musqueamcedar weaving workshop and a youth film club
